A Brazilian footballer Wíres José de Souza, also known as Wíres, was born on 30 December 1982 in Vitória de Santo Antão.
Wíres’s a product of Vera Cruz’s youth system. He graduated from the club’s academy and became the main team’s member in 2003. He didn’t become the squad’s constant from his debut season. At first he made only rare appearances as a substitute player, but within some time he started making frequent appearances in the lineup.
In 2008, Souza joined Rio Ave, after a five-year contract had been signed. After completing the contract Wires joined an Angolan club Recreativo do Libolo.
