Wu Xi is a Chinese footballer who now defends the colours of Jiangsu Sainty. He can play at both his preferred midfield role and at right-back.
Wu Xi was born on February 19, 1989 in Shijiazhuang, China. He launched his professional career with Hebei Tiangong in 2008. But he spent just one season there before moving to Shanghai Shenhua in November 2009. On April 3, 2010 the footballer made his debut with his first goal arriving just two weeks later in a 2-0 win over Tianjin Teda F.C. Owing to his versatility Wu Xi managed to cement his place in the starting lineup.
In 2013 the player switched for Jiangsu Sainty.
In 2007 the player was included into the China U-19 team and participated in the 2008 AFC U-19 Championship. In 2009 he was selected for the U-23 team. Two years later Wu Xi became a senior international debuting in a 6-1 demolition of Laos on September 28, 2011.
