Yaniv Lavi is an Israeli defender, born on 9 September 1977.
The central defender started his professional career in 1996, right after finishing playing for the youth teams of FC Maccabi Netanya at different levels. The senior contract was signed on 1 July 1996.
There the player spent the first two seasons of his professional career, being considered as a back up for the first-team of his home club. Later he was sold to FC Hapoel Ra’anana, where he again warmed the bench for another two seasons. The 2001/2002 season Yaniv started in a shirt of FC Maccabi Herzliya.
In 2002 the player joined FC Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona, where he enjoyed the most successful stage of his career. Yaniv spent nine years with the Kiryat Shmon side, making 216 first-team appearances and hitting the net on 14 occasions. During that spell, he helped his team to reach two Toto Cup finals (2007, 2010) and won the silver medals of the Liga Leumit on two occasions (2006/2007, 2009/2010).
In 2011 the player joined FC Ironi Nir Ramat HaSharon.
