Yuan Weiwei. Biography

Yuan Weiwei is a Chinese defender currently playing for Shandong Luneng in the Chinese Super League. He was born on 25 November 1985 in Tianjin, China.

As a youth Yuan played at Tianjin Locomotive youth academy and then moved to Shandong Luneng youth system. In 2003, he signed his first professional contract with the latter club. However, Weiwei was deployed mostly as a backup player. Only in the 2008 season, he cemented his place in the starting lineup for Shandong Luneng. As of 5 December 2012, Weiwei made a total of 202 appearances during his spell at the club.

Yuan Weiwei earned his full cap to the China national team in a match against Jordan in 2007.
