Zhang Xiaofei

A Chinese footballer Zhang Xiaofei acts as a midfielder for Changchun Yatai. Zhang was born on 11 July 1982 in Shenyang, Liaoning.

Xiaofei started his career playing for the local youth teams. In 2000, he entered the youth department of Changchun Canyi. In 2001, the midfielder was selected for the junior side of Changchun Yatai. The head coach was pleased with Zhang’s performance and the footballer soon got his first opportunity on the senior side.

In 2003, after the contract with Changchun Yatai had been penned, Xiaofei’s senior career got a start. The footballer became an integral part of the main squad. Zhang was a member of the first eleven that earned the promotion to the first division in 2005. In 2007, the club became the winner of the Chinese Super League. Such changes helped Zhang to maintain his midfielder position at the club. The player’s made more than 230 appearances for the first squad.

In 2007, Zhang Xiaofei made his international debut for the China full side.
