Al-Sailiya is a Qatari club from Doha founded in 1995.
Upon their establishment the team got into the Qatari Second Division and competed there for eight years. The first run of the club into the Qatar Stars League dates back to the 2003/04 season, however, they got the boot already after the debut season in the top flight finishing 10th in the league table. In 2007, Al-Sailiya got a toehold in the top tier. But the club can’t boast of terrific results there: the farthest they have progressed to was the 8th place in the 2007/08 Qatar Stars league.
Al-Sailiya is proud of a number of foreign players that graced the club in different periods. Among them are Titi Camara, William Prunier, Wael Gomaa, Bruno Cazarine, Moumouni Dagano and others.
Al-Sailiya play their home matches at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium in Al Rayyan with the capacity of 27,000 seats.
