NK Zagreb is a Croatian football club from Zagreb, the capital of Croatia.
The club was originally formed in 1903. At that time it bore the name of PNIŠK. The first competitive game was played in 1905. In 1997 NK Zagreb progressed to the Croatian Cup Final but, unfortunately, the team lost that match. The 2001/2002 season is considered as one of the team’s most successful campaigns to date with the winning of the Prva HNL. In 2002 the club played in the Croatian Supercup but again the side was defeated finalists.
NK Zagreb’s home matches are played at Stadion u Kranjčevićevoj ulici. The club’s official colours are white, red and green. NK Zagreb is nicknamed the Poets.
