Dragan Stojković is the head coach of Nagoya Grampus. A Serbian manager, he was born in 1965 in Niš, SFR Yugoslavia. He began his senior professional career at local Radnički Niš in 1981. He played for the side until 1988, made 70 appearances and scored 8 goals.
In 1986, Stojković moved to Red Star Belgrade and stayed with the club until 1990. In 1988 and in 1989 he was called the Yugoslav Footballer of the Year. In 1990, the 25-year-old moved to France joining Olympique de Marseille and played for the team until 1994, with a season-long loan at Hellas Verona.
From 1994 to 2001 Dragan Stojković played for the Japanese team Nagoya Grampus Eight. During that period he appeared in 183 matches and scored 57 goals.
He represented the SFR Yugoslavia national team, which later became the FR Yugoslavia national team, and made 84 appearances, scored 15 goals. He featured at Euro 84 and Euro 2000, the 1990 World Cup and the 1998 World Cup.
In 2005, he became the president of Red Star Belgrade and in January 2008 moved to Japan, where he took charge of Nagoya Grampus. In 2010, he led the side to the J. League Division 1 win and that very year was named the J. League Manager of the Year.
