Ljupko Petrović is a retired footballer, born in 1947 in Brusnica Velika, Bosnia and Herzegovina, FPR Yugoslavia. He spent the bulk of his professional career at NK Osijek and then had short spells with three USA teams.
Petrović began his coaching career as a manager of Osijek youth team, then he was an assistant coach at Espanyol, between 1984 and 1987 he was at the helm of Osijek, then guided Spartak Subotica, the Yugoslavia U18 and U21 teams, Vojvodina, Red Star Belgrade, Peñarol, PAOK, Olympiacos, Grazer AK, Al-Ahli Dubai, Shanghai Shenhua, Levski Sofia, Beijing Guoan, Croatia Sesvete and Lokomotiva. In some of the abovementioned teams he had more than one spells and in 2011 Petrović was appointed the head coach of Taraz, competing in Kazakhstan Premier League.
