Luis Francisco Zubeldía was born in 1981 in Santa Rosa, La Pampa, Argentina. He is the head coach of Racing Club de Avellaneda. Since 1998 till 2004 he played for Lanús making his debut in the match against Independiente, ended in a 2-2 draw. Having spent there six years with the club he retired, though he was only 23 years old. Zubeldía represented the Argentina national teams at the U-17 and U-20 levels and appeared in U-17 World Cup in 1997 and U-20 World Cup in 1999.
Zubeldía began his managerial career as an assistant coach of Lanús and when the head coach, Ramón Cabrero, left Luis took charge of the club. He brought the team to the 4th place in the 2008 Aperture thus helping them to qualify for the 2009 Copa Libertadores. After poor success at the 2010 Apertura he left the club.
In June 2011, Zubeldía became the head coach of the Ecuadorian team Barcelona but spent there 9 months and then left it. From 2012 to 2013 he was at the helm of the Argentinean Racing Club De Avellaneda.
