Abel Enrique Aguilar Tapias, a Colombian footballer, was born in 1985 in Bogotá, Colombia. He currently plays for Toulouse on the position of a midfielder.
The first club Aguilar played for was Deportivo Cali. In 2005 he signed for Italian Serie A team Udinese Calcio and was immediately loaned to Ascoli Calcio 1898, which he left soon without playing for the team.
Aguilar returned to Udinese and appeared in one league match, and the UEFA Cup, when the team suffered 0–1 loss against RC Lens.
In 2007 he was loaned to Xerez, which played in the second division. The following season he spent on loan to Hércules and the 2009/10 season he was loaned to Real Zaragoza and helped the team to reach promotion to the top division.
In July 2010, Aguilar left Udinese and switched to Hércules on a four-year contract. In summer 2012 he was loaned to Deportivo.
In August 2013 Aguilar penned a constant deal with a French outfit Toulouse.
As a part of the Colombia youth national team he helped the team to finish third at the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship. Aguilar played for the senior team and scored two goals, helping the squad to reach the quarterfinals at the 2004 Copa América.
