Adam Federici is a goalkeeper of Reading. He was born on 31 January 1985 in Sydney, Australia.
In 2003 Adam moved from Australia to England, when he penned a professional contract with Wolverhampton. The keeper spent only a part of the season there, but did not make any appearances. The same year, Federici joined Torres and took part in five games of the club during a year and a half.
At the beginning of 2004, Adam ended his Torres spell with Reading move on a long-term deal. The Australian footballer was immediately sent on loan to Maidenhead United, where he spent six months and made 15 appearances as a first-choice goalkeeper. In 2005 Federici continued his career in Northwood and took part in four matches before going on loan to Carshalton Athletic, where he featured in 25 games. In 2006 Adam penned a loan deal with Bristol City, but the head coach of the club did not let him on the pitch. In 2008 the goalkeeper changed his temporary team and joined Southend United, where he made ten appearances.
Federici returned to his parent Reading just in time to clinch the place of a first-choice goalkeeper, which he holds during several seasons. From 2005 till 2012, Adam made 146 appearances for the club and even managed to net a goal.
From 2004 till 2008, Adam took part in ten games of the Australia national U-20 and U-23 teams. From 2010 he was capped seven times for the senior national squad.
