Adil Auassar is a Dutch-Moroccan defensive midfielder born on 6 October 1986 in Dordrecht, Netherlands.
Adil’s youth career took off in Groote Lindt, from where the footballer moved first to Sparta Rotterdam, then to local Dordrecht. Auassar trained in the academy of the club and performed for the youth team, but his impressive results helped the midfielder to pen his first professional contract. On 13 January 2006, Adil made his Eerste Divisie début in the draw with FC Volendam.
His first goal came on 1 September 2006 in the game versus Fortuna Sittard, which ended in a 4-0 victory. The player made 45 appearances and netted three goals for the club during two seasons.
In the summer 2007, Auassar sealed a three-year deal with VVV-Venlo and came on the field with the new team on 15 September 2007, when his club lost 3-2 to Groningen. The same season, VVV-Venlo was relegated to the Eerste Divisie, but managed to gain the promotion the following year. Adil took part in 69 fixtures and found the net five times for the club during three years.
Rotterdam side Feyenoord was impressed by the footballer’s performance and offered him a move in 2010. Aussar accepted the offer and signed for ‘De Trots van Zuid’ on a free transfer. The midfielder made only three appearances during his first season with the new club and was sent on a season-long loan to RKC Waalwijk, where he featured in 22 matches.
In the summer 2012, the player finalized a move to De Graafschap but moved to Excelsior a year later.
