Aleksandr Shulenin is a Russian midfielder born on 31 October 1979.
He started out his professional career in 1998, when he signed a contract with FC Khimki. Shulenin made a total of 140 appearances and 7 goals during a six-year spell at the club. In 2005 he clinched the deal with FC Sodovik Sterlitamak , where he scored 9 times in 75 matches. After the 2007 season with FC Shinnik Yaroslavl, Aleksandr joined FC Sibir Novosibirsk. The player was instrumental for his team as he helped them to get a promotion to the Russian Premier League for the 2010 season. Shulenin made his top-division debut on 20 March 2010 in a game against FC Saturn. He also managed to feature in the UEFA Europa League fixture against Greek side FC Apollon Limassol during his stay at the club.
In August 2010 Aleksandr signed a contract with FC Volga Nizhny Novgorod and soon scored his first Russian Premier League goal in a game against FC Anji Makhachkala on 7 May 2011.
