Andrea Mantovani is an Italian football player who currently plays in defence for Bologna. He was born on 22 June 1984 in Turin, Italy.
Andrea began his football career on youth side for hometown club Torino before being called up to the first team in 2003. A younghopeful made his professional debut for the club as a second-half substitute in a match against Como.
In 2003, a young footballer was sent on a season-long loan to Triestina where he had 39 games for the club. In the 2004/05 season, Mantovani returned to Torino and became an undoubted starter for the team.
Nevertheless, he had better days ahead of him in a Chievo jersey where he moved to in 2005. He made all in all 157 appearances netting 9 goals during his six-year stint at a prominent Serie A club.
In 2011, Italian defender found himself at Sicilian club Palermo and played there for two years. In 2013 Mantovani joined signed a deal with Bologna.
Andrea Mantovani shone in all the youth levels of the Italy national team, beginning from U-15 team and ending with U-21 squad, throughout the 2000-2007 period. But as of 2012, he hasn’t received a full cap yet.
