Andreas Augustsson is a defender, born on 26 November 1976 in Häljarp, Sweden.
Andreas began his junior career at Malmö, later joining Helsingborgs. In 1995 he put his pen-to-paper on a professional contract with the Dutch club Twente. During his 1995-1998 stay at Twente Augustsson had limited first-team opportunities and played for the reserve squad predominantly.
In 1998 the defender moved to the Norwegian side Raufoss IL, where he made 38 appearances and scored 5 goals from 1998 to 1999. Andreas received playing time regularly, which contributed to his development as a footballer. In 2000 Augustsson signed for Vålerenga. During his 2000-2003 spell at the club he registered 14 appearances and netted 2 goals. From 2003 to 2005 the defender played for Sandefjord, where he featured in 61 matches and netted 12 goals.
In 2006 Andreas completed a move to Elfsborg. During his 2006-2008 stay at the side Augustsson made 69 appearances and scored 5 goals. In 2009 the footballer joined the Danish AC Horsens. From 2009 to 2011 he took part in 56 games and netted 2 goals. Augustsson returned to Elfsborg for the 2011/2012 season, subsequently moving to GAIS in January 2013. In 2014 the player was released from GAIS.
