Andrew Boyens is a New Zealander footballer who currently plays as a defender for Los Angeles Galaxy in MLS.
Andrew started out his professional career at Otago United in 2006. Having played 17 matches in the season, he moved to Toronto FC and scored his maiden MLS goal in a 2-1 victory over Colorado Rapids in June 2007. In 2008, Boyens signed for powerhouse New York Red Bulls where he developed his game impressively and helped his club to finish as the MLS Western Conference Championship winner at the end of 2008. In 2011, he had a short spell at Chivas USA where he appeared in 12 matches. In January 2012, Boyens was spotted by Los Angeles Galaxy and signed for the club shortly after.
Andrew Boyens was an international for New Zealand at U-20 and U-23 levels. Since 2006 he is capped to the senior New Zealand side.
