Andriy Dykan is as a goalkeeper, born on July 16, 1977 in Kharkiv, Ukrainian SSR.
His senior career started when Andriy joined Avanhard Rovenky in 1995. He wasn’t included in the first XI during his spell at the club, taking part in 21 matches and netting 2 goals.
In 1999, SKA-Energiya Khabarovsk offered him a contract. Dykan took opportunity by the forelock and became a first-choice goalie, making 132 appearances and scoring 9 goals during his five-year stay at SKA-Energiya.
In 2004, Dykan sealed a four-year deal with Kuban Krasnodar. He was promoted to the first team, but because of an illness Dykan didn’t get a regular place in the starting lineup during his spell at the club. From 2004 to 2008 Andriy made 95 appearances for the club.
In 2008, Andriy moved to Tavriya Simferopol for a short spell and made 23 appearances for the club. In 2009, he joined Terek Grozny on a one-year contract. Dykan enjoyed head coach’s confidence and quickly became a regular starter. Andriy took part in 47 games during the 2009/10 season.
In 2010, Dykan was snapped up by FC Spartak Moscow. He participated in 69 matches from 2010 to 2014. Then he switched for Krasnodar.
On June 2, 2010 Andriy celebrated his international debut representing Ukraine in a friendly match against Norway. He was selected as a first-choice goalkeeper to play for the national team in the Euro 2012, but a severe injury forced him to miss the tournament.
