Aritz Aduriz Zubeldia was born in1981 in San Sebastián, Spain. Currently he plays for Athletic Bilbao as a striker.
He began playing in the youth ranks of Antiguoko and went on his senior career at CD Aurrerá de Vitoria. In 2000, Aritz Aduriz joined Bilbao Athletic and in September 2002 he made his debut for the first team, that match was a 0-2 loss to FC Barcelona.
The following seasons he played for Burgos CF and Real Valladolid until he returned to Athletic Bilbao in January 2006. Since then Aduriz made progress and during the 2006/07 season he appeared in 34 La Liga matches and scored 9 goals. In 2008, he joined RCD Mallorca signing a four-year contract. In two seasons he switched to Valencia CF on a €4m deal. Since January 2011, Aduriz fell out of favour. Nevertheless he netted 14 goals during his first season there. At the end of June 2012, 31-year-old, Adruiz returned back to his former club Athletic Bilbao.
When Aritz was 29 years he made his international debut, representing Spain at two UEFA Euro qualifiers against Lithuania and Scotland.
