Aymen Abdennour is a defender for Toulouse FC. He was born on 6 August 1989 in Sousse, Tunisia.
The player’s youth career developed at the academy of Étoile Sportive du Sahel where he starred for the youth team squad until 2008 when he was awarded a professional contract.
In the summer of 2008 Aymen joined Étoile du Sahel first team on a three-year deal. During the first season the defender periodically appeared on the pitch in the starting lineup; however he was not included into the major team squad. In the following season the state of things did not change and Abdennour was used as a substitute.
In January 2010 the player was given out on loan to SV Werder Bremen from German Bundesliga. In half a year a Tunisian player participated only in 6 matches as a member of the starting lineup.
In the summer of 2010 a loan spell was over and Aymen returned to his native club. His performance in the starting lineup became infrequent and his desire to change the club grew stronger.
In a year in the summer of 2011 Abdennour earned a call-up from Toulouse. The player accepted the offer of the French club and signed a four-year contract to which he is now tied.
From 2009 till 2010 the defender featured in 3 matches for the Tunisia U-21 team. Since 2009 he has been capped 10 times for the Tunisia national football team and set a goal.
