An Ivorian footballer Brou Benjamin Angoua plays at the position of central defender both for Valenciennes FC and the Côte d’Ivoire national football team.
The player’s youth career started to develop rapidly when he joined Toumodi FC in 2000 and starred for it until 2004. Then a young defender switched to Africa Sports senior team where he performed at a more professional level. In 2 seasons Brou appeared on the pitch in 41 matches. Due to his good performance Benjamin moved to Europe choosing little known Hungarian FC Budapest Honvéd.
Angoua represented Hungarian club for 4 years. During that time he was always the member of the major squad and featured in 95 matches. In the summer of 2010 an Ivorian player moved to French club Valenciennes.
Besides, Brou played for the Côte d’Ivoire U-23 team. He was also included into the squad to represent his native country at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
Since 2008 Benjamin has starred for the Côte d’Ivoire national team. He also participated at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2010 and was included into the list for the FIFA World Cup in the same year.
