Çağlar Birinci was born on October 2, 1985 in Trabzon, Turkey. In 1995 the footballer joined the youth squad of his local club Trabzonspor and stayed there for 9 years.
Çağlar Birinci’s professional career began in 2004, when he was loaned to Orduspor. In the season of 2005/2006 the defender played for Bakırköyspor, where he scored twice in 32 appearances. In 2006 Çağlar Birinci was transferred to Denizlispor and made 2 goals in 73 matches for the team. In 2006 the player went on loan to İstanbulspor and in the following year, 2007, to Denizli Belediyespor.
In 2010 Çağlar Birinci became the number 33 player at Galatasaray. His first match in Süper Lig was the one against Kayserispor on September 30, 2007. On May 3, 2009 Çağlar Birinci shot his first Süper Lig goal in a game against Eskişehirspor.
Çağlar Birinci debuted on international level on September 10, 2008 when he played for Turkey National Football Team against the Belgium National Football Team.
