Caleb Patterson-Sewell was born on 20 May 1987 in Hendersonville, USA.
Caleb grew up in Australia in Gatton, Queensland. He started trying his hand at football at the academy of Toowoomba Raiders. He was a highly-rated teenager in the club’s youth squad. At that time he was noticed by many European clubs.
In 2004, Patterson-Sewell continued his studies at the youth department of Sheffield Wednesday. His play went noticed by Liverpool. In 2005, he made 4 appearances for the club’s U-19 team.
Caleb returned to Australia and signed a pro contract with Toowoomba Raiders. The footballer was going to move to Belgium when the spell with the Australian club would be ended, but instead he signed for Cleveland City Stars, from America. He made 8 appearances for the team.
In 2008, a move to New York Red Bulls happened. But the player made no appearances at all, so he decided not to extend the contract and changed for Carolina RailHawks. Caleb had featured in 16 matches, before he was sent on loan to his previous club – New York Red Bulls.
In 2010, a new contract was penned with Miami FC, where he spent a season, appearing 25 times. In 2011, Patterson-Sewell was welcomed back to Carolina, remaining there for a few months only. The 2011/2012 season was spent playing for Atlético Clube de Portugal. Over the course of a season, the footballer made 29 appearances.
In 2012, a transfer to Vitória Setúbal happened. One year later he switched for Gil Vicente.
