Daniel Mullen is a defender, born on 26 October 1989 in Adelaide, Australia.
In 2005 the Australian began his preparation for the professional football by joining the academy of Para Hills. Mullen gradually increased his skills there and joined the SASI academy in 2006 and stayed there for a year. He had proven himself as a very talented defender and continued his youth career growth by moving to the academy of AIS.
In 2008 Daniel Mullen signed his first professional four-year contract with his parent club Adelaide United. He was able to make quite regular appearances for his club. All in all he managed to take part in 58 fixtures of the team and scored twice. Later the Australian defender was noticed by the scouts of Dalian Aerbin and received a worthy offer from the Chinese club. Daniel joined the above-mentioned club in 2012 and played there till the end of 2013. Then he joined a home club Western Sydney Wanderers.
In 2007 Daniel Mullen made his international career debut for the Australia U-20 national team. He had been capped fifteen times and scored one goal up to 2009. In 2010 he became a part of Australia U-23 national team and played two matches. In 2009 Mullen was capped first time for the Australia national team.
