Dmytro Hrechyshkin is a midfielder for Shakhtar Donetsk. He was born on 22 September 1991 in Severodonetsk, Ukraine.
In 2004 Dmytro started his youth football career by joining football academy of Yunist Luhansk, where Hrechyshkin spent a couple of months, after which he transferred to the youth academy of Olimpik Donetsk. There the halfback played for four years, and this stage of his youth career was very important for Dmitry.
Since Dmytro demonstrated high level of play, youth agents of Shakhtar Donetsk seized the opportunity and invited Hrechyshkin to the youth academy of the “Miners.”
In 2008 Dmytro signed for Shakhtar on a long-term contract. During the first three seasons at the club Dmytro had to compete for a place in the starting lineup, and gained experience only through training.
In 2011 the coaching staff decided to loan Dmytro to Illichivets Mariupol. The midfielder was happy to gain some playing experience. In 2012 Dmytro joined Illichivets on a permanent basis but soon returned to the country champions from Donetsk.
From 2008 to 2009 Dmytro Hrechyshkin played for Ukraine U-18 and U-19 years, totaling 16 caps. Since 2011 Dmytro Hrechyshkin made 15 appearances for Ukraine U-21.
