Gary Gardner is a midfielder of Aston Villa. He was born on 26 June 1992 in Solihull, England.
In 2005 Gary joined the academy of Aston Villa. The future footballer was aimed at graduating to the main team of the club and did not even consider a move to any other place. Gardner was a very talented midfielder, which was noticed by the coaching staff of the youth system. Gary managed to perform for many youth teams of the club and participate in different junior championships with them during six years in the academy.
In 2011 the young midfielder gained optimal playing shape and developed his skills and physical data to the certain level. In the summer the same year, Gardner was offered a professional contract, which he penned without hesitation. After becoming a senior player of Aston Villa, the footballer got an opportunity to show his talent in 14 matches of the club.
After the end of the 2010/2011 season, Gary was sent on loan to Coventry City. The midfielder made rare appearances for the club during the 2011/2012 season and managed to come on the pitch only four times.
In 2007 Gardner began his international career after being called up to the England national U-17 team, where he featured in six games. From 2008 till 2010, the footballer took part in two matches and contributed one goal for the U-19 squad. From 2010 till 2011, Gary was capped two times for the U-20 team before being invited to the U-21 squad in 2011, where he made five appearances and fired two goals.
