Giacinto Facchetti was a footballer. He was born in1942 in Treviglio, Italy and began to play football at his hometown team Trevigliese. He went on his senior career at Serie A side Inter Milan. He played as a full back and throughout his career he made 634 appearances and scored 75 goals for the team.
Facchetti spent his entire career with Inter Milan and helped them to win Italian Serie A titles in 1962/63, 1964/65, 1965/66, 1970/71. In 1977/78 they won Coppa Italia, in 1963/64 and 1964/65 Inter was European Cup winner. They won Intercontinental Cup in 1964, 1965.
He earned 94 caps for the Italy national team since his debut in 1963. He was a part of the squad winning European championship in 1968 and finished runner-up in the 1970 FIFA World Cup.
He retired in 1978 and worked at Inter Milan on different positions. He became the president in January 2004 and died of cancer in 2006.
