Giampiero Pinzi is a midfielder for Udinese. He was born on 11 March 1981 in Rome, Italy.
Giampiero began his youth career at Lazio football academy after performing successfully in an exhibition match. For several years Giampiero played for Lazio youth squad and studied at the club’s academy.
In 1999 Giampiero’s youth career came to an end as he signed his first professional contract with his alma mater Lazio. The club management included Pinzi in the starting lineup, but nevertheless his debut 1999/00 season was an idle one as he didn’t get an opportunity to feature in a single match for the club. By the end of the season Pinzi was ready to leave Lazio.
In the summer of 2000 Pinzi joined Udinese. After signing his second professional contract the midfielder began training hard to become a key midfielder at the new club. In time, after a series of successful performances, the head coach made Giampiero a regular key midfielder at Udinese.
In 2008 Giampiero was loaned to Chievo for 2 seasons. During that time Pinzi became a regular at the new club and appeared in practically every match of Chievo. From 2008 to 2010 Giampiero made 65 appearances and scored 7 goals for Gialloblu.
After returning from a loan spell to Udinese, Pinzi lost a spot in the starting lineup but remained to be Gialloblu veteran and a role model for young footballers with a total of 192 appearances and 34 goals so far.
In 2005 Giampiero Pinzi made 1 appearance for the Italian national team.
