Ihor Bazhan is a goalkeeper for FC Illichivets. He was born on 2 December 1981 in Kirovohrad, Ukraine.
Ihor began his youth career in 1997 at the football academy of Zirka. At first, Bazhan played for Zirka Kirovohrad Reserves. Since 2000 though Ihor Bazhan advanced to the first team, where he played a total of 32 games.
In 2001 Ihor agreed to join Tavriya, but was allowed to defend the goals of the club only 12 times in two years. In 2003 Bazhan moved to Kyiv, where he joined Arsenal and spent there three seasons of his career. This stage of his career was quite effective in comparison with the playing time he received at his previous clubs. For Arsenal Ihor made 45 appearances and conceded 48 goals in three years.
In 2006 Kryvbas made Arsenal Kyiv an offer to purchase Bazhan. The clubs came to a mutual agreement in the summer of that same year. Ihor joined Kryvbas for one season, during which he started 23 matches as the first goalkeeper. In 2007 Bazhan moved to Zorya Luhansk, where he played only 14 games in the 2007/08 season. In 2008 Ihor joined Metalist as a reserve goalkeeper, and due to this made only 11 appearances in two years. Since 2010 Ihor Bazhan plays for Illichivets Mariupol, where he is also a reserve goalkeeper.
From 2002 to 2003 Ihor Bazhan defended the colors of Ukraine U-21 and won one cap.
