Imanol Agirretxe. Biography

Imanol Agirretxe Arruti is a Spanish footballer. He was born in 1987 in Usurbil, Spain, and today he plays for Real Sociedad as a striker.

A Real Sociedad’s youth graduate, he made his debut for the first team in the season 2004/05 and made three appearances as a substitute. During the next three seasons he appeared in nine league games and spent a half-year loan in the second division with CD Castellón.

In 2008/09 season Agirretxe scored 9 goals and appeared in 28 matches of Segunda Division. In the following campaign he appeared in 36 games scoring six goals and eventually the team promoted to the top division.

The 2011/12 season was successful for Imanol as he started the season with two goals against Sporting de Gijón, ended 2-1 win, and one against FC Barcelona.

He was a part of Spain U-17, U-19, U-21 and U-23 teams.
