Jetro Willems is a back of PSV. He was born on 30 March 1994 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
The footballer learned how to handle a ball in the academy of Rotterdam side Sparta. At first, Jetro performed for youth squad Spartaan ´20. Willems made his début for the main team of Sparta at the age of 16 in the match against Go Ahead Eagles, which ended in a 1-1 draw. In August 2011, the back was offered a move to PSV on a deal worth €800,000. The footballer managed to clinch a place in the main team for the Europa League game versus Hapoel Tel-Aviv in October 2011. The same month, Jetro made his official début for the club in the fixture with Vitesse, where he was injured and substituted by Abel Tamata in the 67th minute.
At the end of 2011, Willems made his first appearance in Euro Cups by featuring in the 2011/2012 Europa League match against Hapoel Tel-Aviv. The footballer became the youngest Dutchman ever to participate in Euro Cups. In November 2011, the back cemented his place in the first squad.
Jetro’s first international trophy was the golden medal of the 2011 European U-17 Championship. Willems received his first call-up to the senior national team in May 2012.
