Jiang Chen is a Chinese forward, born on 24 June 1986 in Dalian, China.
The player got ready for his professional football career at the youth academy of FC Sichuan Guancheng. There he stayed from 2000 to 2004, developing his football dowry and gradually getting ready for the professional debut. After finishing the academy Jiang passed a trial with the senior squad of the club, during which he managed to impress the coaching staff. Soon he signed his first professional contract with the side. Being considered as a backup for the first-team, he featured in 6 games during his debut season.
In 2006 Chen decided to take a new adventure, agreeing terms with another Chinese club FC Tianjin Teda. There he again got the status of future prospect and was warming the bench for the vast part of his first season. In 2008 he enjoyed a successful loan spell with FC Shaanxi Chan-Ba, scoring 2 goals in 17 appearances and later secured another loan deal with FC Wellington Phoenix , but was released prior to its end after just 2 games for the side.
On the international arena the player managed to represent his national football team at U17 and U23 levels, scoring 6 goals in 12 appearances.
