Jonathan Forte is a striker of Southampton. He was born on 25 July 1986 in Sheffield, England.
In 2003 Forte graduated to the main team of Sheffield United and began his senior career. The footballer was let on the pitch only several times during his first season and needed permanent playing practice, which he could get by performing on loan. At the beginning of 2005, Jonathan was sent on loan to Doncaster Rovers. The footballer penned two loan contracts, the first one for the second half of the 2004/2005 season and the second one when the temporary club’s management decided to extend his contract for another six months.
In 2006 Forte completed a six-month loan move to Rotherham United. In the summer 2006, the footballer became a temporary player of Doncaster Rovers, where he made 41 appearances and netted five goals during one season.
In the summer 2007, Jonathan joined Scunthorpe United, but there was no place for him in the starting team and that is why the management sent him on loan to Notts County six months later. The footballer extended his temporary contract with the club for another half a year before returning to his parent Scunthorpe United and getting an opportunity to become a regular of the club. Forte clinched a place in the starting line-up and left it only because of his transfer. Jonathan featured in 100 games and fired nine goals for ‘The Iron’ during two years.
In 2011 the footballer’s services were secured by Southampton. Forte took part in 11 fixtures and went on to net one time before going on a six-month loan to Preston North End. In January 2012, Jonathan completed a loan deal with Notts County and continued his loan performance in Crawley Town.
