José María Movilla Cubero is a Spanish footballer and currently he plays for Real Zaragoza as a central defender.
He was born in 1975 in Madrid, Spain. Movilla is a Real Madrid’s graduate and he went on his senior career with CD Colonia Moscardó, then played with CD Numancia and CD Ourense.
He joined Málaga CF and in two seasons there he helped the team to promote to La Liga from Segunda División B.
In 2001 Movilla switched to Atlético Madrid and playing 38 matches of the 2001/02 season he helped them to La Liga promotion.
In January ha was loaned to Real Zaragoza and helped them to the 2004 Copa del Rey title and after the loan spell there Movilla joined them on a long-term base.
In 2007 Movilla moved to newly-promoted Real Murcia but during 2008/09 season he fell out of favor until the head coach, Javier Clemente, was sacked.
In July 2009 he joined Rayo Vallecano and in his second season there Movilla helped the team to promote to the top division and played for them until 2012.
