Karl Darlow is a goalkeeper of Nottingham Forest. He was born on 8 October 1990 in Northampton, England.
Karl’s youth career took off in the academy of Aston Villa, to where the footballer was admitted after an impressing demonstration game and a series of tests. In 1998, Darlow officially became a trainee of the youth system and started to climb the career ladder. The keeper performed for various junior squads and took part in youth competitions, where he could boast of his superb skills.
In 2006, Karl moved to the academy of Nottingham Forest and started to train even harder, which earned him a place in the starting line-up of the junior team. It took the footballer four years to get ready for a professional start, as he graduated to the main squad of the club in 2010. However, Darlow failed to clinch a regular place and featured only in one game for ‘Foresters’ during two years. In 2012, the keeper was sent on loan to Newport County, where he made eight appearances during his spell.
In September 2012, Karl sealed a temporary deal with Walsall and took part in seven games for the club before returning to his parent Nottingham Forest.
