Li Shuai was born on 18 August 1982 in Qingdao, Shandong, China. Li started his football career with Qingdao Hademen, where he acquired football skills and gained his first experience playing for the club’s youth team.
In 2002 Li Shuai signed a professional agreement with Qingdao Hademen where he had started his football career. The footballer made his debut on 1 September 2002. In the 2005/2006 campaign the team showed unsuccessful performance and hardly avoided Super League relegation. Li Shuai wasn’t lucky; he lacked playing time and made only substitute appearances. Li Shuai also won the 2011 Chinese Super League title and the 2012 Chinese FA Super Cup. Nowadays Li continues his career in Guangzhou Evergrande where he still plays as a first-choice goalkeeper.
