Marko Vejinović is a midfielder of Heracles Almelo. He was born on 3 February 1990 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
Marko’s career took off in local Zeeburgia, where the footballer trained till he was noticed by Ajax scouts. Vejinović joined the academy of the new club, but soon moved to the youth system of Utrecht. After taking part in several junior competitions, the midfielder drew the attention of AZ scouts that won him over to their academy and promised a place in the main team if he raised his skills to the maximum.
In 2007, the management of the club decided to invite Marko to the first squad and offered him his first professional two-year contract. However, the head coach hesitated about letting the young footballer on the pitch in Eredivisie matches, and Vejinović made only three sub appearances for AZ during two seasons.
In 2009, the midfielder sealed a deal with Heracles Almelo and his career went forward at a steady gait. The head coach of the new club gave Marko an opportunity to come on the field in the starting XI and saw him fire seven goals in 77 fixtures by November 2012.
From 2006 till 2011, Vejinović was capped 27 times and contributed eight goals for the Netherlands national U-17, U-19 and U-21 teams.
