Nils Markus Rosenberg is a forward, born on 27 September 1982 in Malmö, Sweden.
In 2001 the young forward joined his first club, local Malmö FF. However, Nils did not have a solid place in the team and was sent on loan to Halmstads BK in 2004. Rosenberg became the top goalscorer of the league after netting 14 goals in 26 matches.
After the end of his loan spell, Nils spent the first half of the season in parent Malmö FF, but then received an offer from Dutch side Ajax in the summer 2005.
Ajax début was very successful for Rosenberg as he performed at the position of a centre forward and was a regular of the club. Nils fired his first goal and a team’s opener in his first Champions League match. In the winter the management secured the services of Klaas-Jan Huntelaar, which moved the forward to a left winger position. That season the Dutch side club managed to take fourth place, qualify for the Champions League and lift the KNVB Cup.
On 26 January 2007, Rosenberg penned a contract with Werder Bremen and played for it till 2012 (excepting 2010/2011 on loan in Racing Santander), when he transferred to West Bromwich Albion.
Having made 33 appearances for The Baggies, Rosenberg moved to Malmo in 2014.
Nils netted two goals in five matches in the Euro 2008 qualifiers and got to the national team 23-men roster for the play-off, where he took part in two games without scoring.
