Martin Jakubko is a Slovak forward, who was born on 26 February 1980.
As a youngster he played for FC Chminianska Nova Ves, FC Slovan Sabinov and FC Odeva Lipany. In 1999 he started his senior career in FC Tatran, spent the 2002/03 season on loan at FC Bukocel Vranov. In 2003 joined FC Dukla, where he stayed for three years. After that he signed a contract with FC Saturn Rameskoye, where he debuted on 19 March 2009 in a game against FC Zenit St. Petersburg.
In 2008 the footballer joined FC Khimki and was transferred to FC Moscow the next year. Due to the club’s dissolution the player returned to FC Saturn.
On 17 August 2010 the striker signed a three-year contract with FC Dynamo Moscow, but was released some time later, receiving the compensation package from the club.
Martin joined FC Amkar Perm in 2012. The player made his debut in a game against FC Krylia Sovetov and scored his first goal three rounds later in a clash versus FC Krasnodar.
At international level Jakubko helped his national team to qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, making six appearances and hitting the net on two occasions at the qualification stage. He also played 6 minutes during the competition itself, coming off the bench and earning a penalty kick against the Netherlands.
