Matty Fryatt is a striker, born on 5 March 1986 in Nuneaton, England.
Matty’s professional career took off Walsall after the footballer had penned a senior contract with the club. However, the management decided to send Fryatt on loan to Carlisle United at once, and the striker netted one goal in ten fixtures for the team during six months. After returning to his parent club, Matty started to get more playing time and eventually became an anchor player. The footballer amassed 27 goals in 70 games for Walsall during two years and a half.
In 2006, Fryatt completed a move to Leicester City and managed to clinch a regular place almost at once. The striker fired 51 goals in 168 matches for ‘The Foxes’ till January 2011, when he transferred to Hull City. Matty made a confident start at the new club and became the pivot, who scored 31 goals in 94 fixtures for The Tigers.
After a brief spell with Sheffield Wednesday in 2013, Fryatt penned a permanent deal with Nottingham Forest in the summer 2014.
From 2004 till 2005, the footballer was capped six times and contributed four goals for the England national U-19 squad.
