Michael Mancienne is a professional footballer, born on January 8, 1988 in the town of Isleworth, England.
At the age of nine Michael joined Chelsea youth academy. Later he was included into the final squad for the pre-season tour to America in 2006. He got a place on the bench in the first two league games in the 2006/07 campaign.
In 2007 Queens Park Rangers completed Mancienne loan swoop. In two spells at QPR, the commanding defender appeared in 61 matches before joining Wolverhampton for a short spell during 2008. The youngster made a huge impression at Molineux Stadium. Returning to the Blues in 2009, Michael made his debut at Watford, playing right-back. In the 2009/10 season the young stopper rejoined Wolves, making 30 league starts. The utility man spent his next season again at Molineux, where he featured 17 times. On May 31, 2011 Mancienne sealed a four-year contract with Hamburg.
In the summer 2014 he moved to Nottingham Forest.
Michael Mancienne`s call-up to the national squad against Germany in 2008 came as a welcome surprise, though he did not feature in that match. He was part of the team when Chelsea won the FA Cup in 2009. Later that year the talented defender was named Chelsea Young Player of the Year.
