An Egyptian footballer Mohamed Abdel-Shafy performs as a left-back for Zamalek. Abdel-Shafy was born on 1 July 1985.
Mohamed started his career playing for the junior team of Zamalek. In 2003, the footballer was scouted by ENPPI. He stayed with the club until 2005, netting seven goals in 38 matches.
In 2005, Abdel-Shafy signed for Ghazl El-Mehalla and started a new successful stage in his playing career. He became the squad’s anchor player amassing 15 goals in 103 games. In 2009, Mohamed opted to rejoin the boyhood side El Zamalek. The player’s already featured in more than 75 fixtures for the main squad.
On international level, Abdel-Shafy got his first cap for the national side of Egypt in 2009. He took part in the 2010 Africa Cup of Nations.
