Necati Ateş is a footballer from Turkey, currently the forward is playing Eskişehirspor. He was born in 1980 in İzmir, Turkey, and began his professional career at Altay in 1997 and in 2002 moved to Adanaspor. There he featured in 85 matches and scored 47 goals. In 2004, Ateş completed the transfer to Galatasaray SK and was used until the summer of 2007, when he was loaned to Ankaraspor, then to İstanbul BB and the 2008/09 season Ateş spent with Real Sociedad.
In 2009 he was released by Galatasaray and joined Antalyaspor, where he played till the 2012 winter transfer window, when he returned to Galatasaray for €250,000 and played for them till the end of the season, making 15 appearances and scoring 8 goals. In the summer of 2012, he completed a move to Eskişehirspor.
Necati Ateş represented the Turkey national team at different levels, played for Turkey A team and from 2003 to 2006 he made 19 appearances for the senior squad. Ateş was a part of the team which finished third at FIFA Confederations Cup in 2003.
