Nile Ranger is an English striker. He was born on 11 April 1991 in Enfield, England. Ranger began his youth career in Crystal Palace. During a lot of years the striker daily developed his footballer skills and took part in matches of different youth teams. Nile managed to establish himself as a talented and promising striker and that is why the attention of various English academies to him never cooled down.
In 2007 Ranger moved to the Southampton academy. He spent a year there, studying professional football in depth, and the player’s professional start was at hand. In 2008 Newcastle scouts noticed the young striker and invited him on a trial to their academy. Nile came to ‘The Magpies’ training ground in the same year, took part in a demonstration game and passed all necessary tests. After that Nile was officially invited to join the Newcastle United youth system, where he would not stay long according to preliminary information, because the level of his performance practically corresponded to the level of a rookie in professional football.
In 2009 Nile achieved the goal he was striving for during his youth career and became a pro-footballer by signing a contract. Newcastle United included Ranger in the first team and the striker came on the pitch in many matches. In 2011 Nile was sent on a six-month loan to Barnsley, where he made five appearances. In January 2012 he went on loan to Sheffield Wednesday for another six months and spent the second half of 2011/2012 there, playing eight games for the club. In 2013 he was released from the club. Later on Ranger joined Swindon Town.
From 2009 till 2010 Nile Ranger was capped 12 times for the England national U19 team and scored one goal.
