Nuno Henrique Gonçalves is a back of Blackburn Rovers. He was born on 19 October 1986 in Fafe, Portugal.
Nuno spent the last year of his youth career in the academy of local A.D. Fafe and managed to raise his skills to the level at which he could count on an opportunity to perform for the main squad of the club.
In 2005, the footballer was invited to pen his first professional contract with Fafe, where he spent three years and netted four goals in 43 matches.
In 2008, Henrique attracted the attention of Aves, which lodged a tempting bid for the back and offered him a lucrative contract. Nuno decided to accept the offer and sealed a deal in the summer the same year. The footballer made 27 appearances and fired one goal for the team during two years.
In the summer 2010, Henrique put pen to paper of a contract with Feirense, where he took part in 19 fixtures and found the net three times during the first half of the 2010/2011 season. The back’s performance impressed Portuguese side Braga, which entailed his transfer to the new club. The management decided to give Nuno an opportunity to spend the 2011/2012 season in Feirense on temporary basis, but Académica secured the footballer’s services on a permanent two-year deal in the summer 2012. Despite Henrique put his signature under the contract, he changed his mind and finalized a move to English side Blackburn Rovers in the last minutes of the same transfer window.
In 2013 the player was loaned to Arouca, recently promoted to the Portuguese Primeira.
