Oleh Husyev plays as a right midfielder for Dynamo Kyiv. He was born on 25 April 1983 in Stepanovka, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union.
In his teenage years Oleh was trained at Sports school Zmina Sumy, later signing for FC Frunzenets-Liha-99 Sumy. He moved to Arsenal Kyiv in 2002. During a season-long spell at the club Husyev registered 23 appearances and netted a goal.
In the summer of 2003, Oleh Gusev joined Dynamo Kyiv. After his brilliant display in the 2006 FIFA World Cup, it was rumored that Gusev would probably be transferred to Olympique Lyonnais. But Oleh decided to pledge his future to Dynamo Kyiv. Husyev has made over 200 appearances for Dynamo Kyiv since 2003. In the 2007/2008 season, Husyev became one of the key players for the club and the national team. It was Oleh’s most successful season, but a severe injury forced him to sit out until November 2008.
Husyev is also a regular starter for the Ukraine national team since 2003.
