Oleksandr Chyzhov. Biography
Oleksandr Chyzhov is a defender for Illichivets Mariupol. He was born on 10 August 1986 in Poltava, Ukraine.
Chyzhov is a graduate of FC Vorskla Poltava football academy. At the early age Oleksandr played for the youth teams of various clubs. In 2004 Chyzhov joined the senior squad of Vorskla Poltava. He spent one season in the second team, and then joined the main squad.
On 28 May 2008 Shakhtar Donetsk signed Chyzhov on a permanent contract. The transfer cost amounted to UAH 8 million. In 2012 the defender was transferred to Illichivets Mariupol on loan contract.
In 2007 Oleksandr joined the ranks of Ukraine U-21.
