Pablo Couñago is a Spanish football player born on August 9, 1979. He acts as a striker.
His long football way started at the academy of Celta Vigo in 1995. In 1997 he was promoted to Celta B squad and one year later – to the main Celta Vigo team. However, he did not manage to score and was sent on loan first to Numancia and then to Recreativo. In 2011 he signed for English side Ipswich Town which was a turning point in his career. He managed to deliver 31 goals in 100 matches and was invited back to homeland to join Malaga. Things were not as great back in Spain and he had to go to Ipswich Town again. In 2010 he served on loan at Crystal Palace but by that time stopped impressing his managers and in 2012 departed to Asia. First he joined a Vietnamese Đồng Tâm Long An Football Club and later moved to Hong Kong to join his countrymen at Kitchee.
While being young Pablo was often called up to represent Spain youth teams.
