Rafael Márquez Lugo is a Mexican striker. He was born on 2 November 1981 in Mexico City. In 2000 the footballer made his Liga MX debut for Club Universidad Nacional commonly known as Pumas.
The next two seasons weren’t quite successful for Lugo because he appeared on the field mainly as a substitute. Rafael Márquez scored 9 goals in 39 games for Pumas.
Having left Club Universidad Nacional, the striker changed seven first division clubs during ten years. In 2012 Lugo penned a contract with Guadalajara.
In 2004 Rafael Márquez Lugo made his debut for the Mexico national football team, however he didn’t manage to become a regular for the senior side. The striker has netted once in 13 matches.
