Raúl García Escudero was born in 1986 in Pamplona, Spain. Currently a Spanish footballer plays for Atlético Madrid as a central midfielder.
He graduates from Osasuna and made his debut for the first team in October 2004 in a 0–3 loss at FC Barcelona. During his first full season with the club he made 33 appearances and in 28 out of them he featured as a starter helping his team to finish fourth in the league, which allowed the team to take part in European tournaments and Osasuna reached the semifinals of the UEFA Cup.
In July 2007, Raúl García signed a €13m deal with Atlético de Madrid and in 2010 being replaced by Tiago Mendes he lost his starting spot. Nevertheless he played the entire UEFA Europa League final match against Fulham, ended in 2-1 win. García featured in half of the the Copa del Rey match against Sevilla that was a 0-2 loss. In August 2010, he full UEFA Super Cup game against Internazionale Milano. In total he played less than Tiago Mendes but during the season appeared in 29 matches.
For the 2011/12 season García was loaned to his former club Osasuna where throughout the season he proved himself as the top scorer, netting 11 goals in 33 matches.
